Habitat:
Plantation of Cupressus macrocarpa - Pinus radiata, with Microsorum pustulatum ground cover and sparse Coprosma rhamnoides. In 'lightwell' on slope of dune.
Notes:
Locally common in 'lightwells' - plants mostly smaller than in open (see specimen 4008 [CHR 526219]) and mostly not fertile. Forming tussocks, leaves double folded, yellow-green. Glumes pale brown with sparse red flecks. Utricle beak scabrid. (About 50m from No. 4008).
