Abandoned plantation area, margin of adventive scrub, partial shade.
Notes:
Low climbing herb. Leaves glossy beneath, ending in a tendril. Flowers pendent, the 6 perianth lobes 5.3-5.7 cm long, arching upwards and over to meet at apex, narrowly channelled in lower part, ± lanceolate in outline above but very undulate and frilled, yellow in lower half, orange-red in upper half. Stamens c. 3 cm long, horizontal except for upper half. Stamens c. 3 cm long, horizontal except for upturned ends. Style c. 4.5 cm long, sharply bent at base. Locally fairly common.
