Clump-forming herb. Leaves white satiny beneath with yellowish midrib; upper surface green, with a thin white pellicle and sunken yellow midrib. Peduncle white shaggy. Phyllaries dark brown. Rays wite, cm long, narrow linear. Disc yellow. Common.
