Habitat:
By large spillway, amongst rank grass and shrubs.
Notes:
Tuberous-rooted herb (tubers not collected). Stems erect, shining pinkish, to about 1m high. Leaves grass-like. Flowers 4.5-5cm long; outer tepals about 2.2cm wide, orange, more or less rounded; inner tepals yellow, the upper two about 1.5cm wide, with dark purple streaks; lower tepal narrower and all yellow. Filaments and style orange. A large patch.
