Habitat:
Gentle hillside slope amongst bouldery ultramafic outcrops and heathland scrub.
Notes:
Flowers white; most plants relatively small on ultramafic soils, but foliage and heads larger on any better sites nearby, e.g. streamside and road verge. On typical small plants: scape 8-20cm long, head 8-15mm, largest leaf 3cm, and on larger plants: scape 15-25cm, head 12-18mm, longest leaf 5cm. Plants lacking glandular hairs and lacking aromatic smell. Multicellular hairs moderately dense on both leaf surfaces. Leaf margin with prominent line of matted cottony hairs.
