Habitat:
Steep mossy concavity below limestone overhang in silver beech forest, on thin veneer of mossy powdery soil, probably prone to being wet, overlying limestone rock.
Notes:
Flowers white. Plants of relatively uniform size and appearance. Scape 16-24-40cm; longest leaf 16cm; head diameter 16-19mm. Common, (to 40% of ground cover), over a 10m extent of habitat. A few cottony hairs on leaf margin. Multicellular hairs scattered on both leaf surfaces; also non-glandular stubby hairs. Plants lack aromatic smell.
