Habitat:
Rocky northwest spur of tussocky peak, in eroding friable loess soil in small chutes, on rocky ledges, and on terracettes between tussocks.
Notes:
Most plants here are in fruit. A few still flowering (yellow) in slightly shady sites. Shaded plants less woolly, less white-hairy. This population mostly has solitary rosettes, occasionally 2-3 together. Scapes quite tall. Scape (8)-18-(40) cm. Head 18-22 mm. Leaves (45)-8-(120 )mm.
