Habitat:
Forest remnant of kowhai, totara, lacebark on hillslope above suburb on sunny aspaect.
Notes:
Abundant as multi-stemmed vines to c. 5m height, upon native and naturalised trees, alongside other vines including Clematis vitalba and Passiflora mollissima. Seedlings common. Outer tepals orange-red; inner tepals orange-yellow on outside, yellow within, with numerous red spots.
