Habitat:
Clearing in Leptospermum scoparium scrub, with Poa colensoi / Racomitrium lanuginosum tussockland on river terrace.
Notes:
Monocarpic dead plants common; biennial many non-flowering plants. Scapes terminal only or terminal and lateral. Flowering peaking now. Flowers large, open simultaneously on all scapes.
