Habitat:
River bed, in loose sand in front of tall willow band.
Notes:
Young tree, probably originating from seed. Stems 2-2.5m high, green or pale yellow, tenacious and flexible when bent. Young leaves glaucous beneath. Female catkins ± erect. Bracts ovate, brown, long white silky hairy. A stand of male and female saplings.
