In pinetum, beneath canopy of conifers.
Notes:
Saplings to c.2m high. Shoots light brown. Buds brown, not resinous. Leaves dark glossy green above, glaucous-banded beneath, on lateral shoots sub-pectinate i.e. with V formed on upper side of shoot. Abundant over many square metres, and thus many metres from putative parent.
