Note:
This taxon was cited from Tasmania as C. fasciculare by Degelius in the Lichen Genus Collema - Symbolae Botan. Upsal. XX: 2 (1974). However, it has a strange psuedocortex similar to that of Physma; it also has larger apothecia than usual in this species.
