Large clump-forming bamboo with culms 5-6m high, green. Rhizomes running. Culm sheaths mottled dark brown on a pinkish-brown background; lamina of sheath with green central band and whitish to pink margins. Culm nodes with glaucous band when young. See Wood Collection
