Notes:
Shrub c. 1.5 m high with a few slender wand-like shoots. Leaves shining above; midrib and main veins pale and impressed. Inflorescence branches reddish-brown. Corolla scarlet-crimson; tube 3.5-4 cm, very slender, limb ± patent; lobes 1.3-1.5 x 0.6-0.7 cm, lanceolate, slightly twisted. Style and stigma red. A rare plant on Penrhyn.
