Habitat:
Cultivated on woodland margin.
Notes:
Tree 12-14m high, not evergreen but very tardily deciduous. Flowers stated to be white. Leaves dark glossy green above. Fruits 1.7-2cm long, broad oblong or obovate oblong, glossy scarlet; sepals persistent. Fruits usually borne singly on short spur shoots. Probably from same tree as CHR 188431. See fruit collection.
