Habitat:
Indigenous forest margin, on slope.
Notes:
Large shrub 2-2.5m high, forming a dense thicket. Stems green. Leaves glaucous beneath; petiole dark red. Inflorescence ± pendent, bracts, peduncles and calyx dark reddish-purple. Corolla white except for reddish-purple flush in outside of tube, the whole corolla 1.7-2cm long, funnelform; lobes 6-7mm long, widely spreading, ovate-elliptic. Very common in this narrow band of habitat almost absent from forest.
