Notes:
Secund form of var filiforme. Subquadrate cells mostly 68 on basal margins of branch leaves. This is a troublesome specimen which could easily be referred to H. c. var. mossmanianum. Growing on exposed limestone rock. Normal Hypnum cupressiforme (growing 25cm away) enclosed for comparison.
