Steep valley side, rather open indigenous forest.
Notes:
Tree 9-11 m high with stout trunk. Very young shoots and leaves light rusty brown; leaves then ± white until mature and very conspicuous. Flowers white; petals (5)-7-8 mm x c. 3 mm, obovate, soon reflexing and caducous. Common but scattered.
