Habitat:
Open plains country, mostly highly modified for rice and other irrigated crops. Soil clay to clay-loam. This site SE of homestead, not far W of Lalalty Drain.
Notes:
Several erect tufted plants (only a few spikelets proliferous - cf. 8637 in next paddock) with culms blue-green. Amongst maturing rice plants at edge of crop, in moist soil. 'Ovals' on culm surface not realy visible on fresh material with hand-lens.
