Notes:
Clump-forming bamboo with dense habit; rhizomes not running. Culms c.3m high, +/- arching towards tip, green or dark brownish-green when old, terete; nodes with dark band. Foliage dense on the tightly clustered branchlets; lamina medium green, not obviously tessellated. Culm sheaths light or yellowish-brown, excepting long green laminas of sheath; ligules abbreviated.
