Clump-forming bamboo, rather dense habit; rhizomes not strongly evident. Culms 4-5m high, deep green, flattened, remaining green. Culm sheaths greenish, flushed mauve; auricles dark. Foliage in spreading open sprays except on old lower lateral branches.Leaves +/- glaucescent on one side. Det. as labelled.
