Notes:
Leptomorph bamboo with rhizomes creeping and plant forming a large open thicket with outlying culms a metre or more from any others. Culms 3-4m high, green, eventually yellow, some culms with congested lower internodes; most internodes above lower ones flattened on one side. Young culm sheaths more or less dark mottled. See wood collection.
