Habitat:
On limestone cave walls at absolute threshold light limits for vascular plants. Growing on calcareous `ooze'.

Notes:
`Calcicole'. Growing in cave. Small plants with narrow fronds,simple rounded pinnae and small tufted occasionally creeping rhizomes. Specimens always fertile. Sympatric with A. bulberiferum s.s. which is abundant in higher light levels of cave but never fertile in reduced states found in low lighted parts.
