Habitat:
Slender, arching shrubs in wide, stony, creek bed, c. 3m tall. This species is almost ubiquitous in far S.E. NSW and N.E. Gippsland.
Notes:
Has few capsules than population 149 and does not retain old capsules. 3/150/(5). Kunzea ericoides subspecies Kaipara or Kunzea ericoides subsp. nov.
