By railway, waste area dominated by grass and other herbs
Notes:
Clump-forming bamboo with culms to c.4m high and rhizomes spreading several metres from main clump. Culms and lateral branches eventually turning yellow, the latter spreading stiffly and widely, giving an open effect. Stem sheaths purple, mottled dark purple. Considered as adventive.
