Lampranthus "Hunter Gully". Succulent subshrub, the light brown or yellow-brown suberect stems to c.70cm high. Lvs to 3.3cm long, green or somewhat glaucous when young, +/- triangular, the keel and margins obtuse. Flowers opening during the day when warm, 3.5-4 cm across. Petals 1.5-2 cm long, inner ones shorter, shining rosy-magenta. Filaments similar colour but a little paler. Sepals succulent, 1.2-1.5 cm long, narrow tirangular, flattened above and rounded beneath, often becoming red above. A small clump only. Apparently adventive but possibly a relic of cultivation.
