Habitat:
Roadside bank beneath large trees. Rather dry site.
Notes:
Rhizomes thick, orange-pink outside. Leaves coriaceous, erect, light grey-green with broken dark green bands horizontal. Some leaves with broad pale yellow marginal band. This represents cv. `Laurentii', the clone which was presumably originally planted.
