Habitat:
Beneath large deciduous trees.
Notes:
Large thicket with stems 3-4m high, deep green, glaucous-banded below nodes. Rhizomes creeping several metres long. Branches becoming yellow. Leaves glaucescent below. Stem sheaths uniformly purplish-brown.
