Habitat:
Conifer plantation; cultivated.
Notes:
Tree c. 12-13m high, rather narrowly pyramidal. Bark smooth, deep pink below surface [collected]. Leaves subpectinate below, +/- curved upwards and inwards above, glaucous, obscuring shoot and purple, scarcely resinous bud. Cones mostly shattered by this time but 2 semi-intact ones were 13-15 cm long, broadly cylindric and scarcely tapering. Bract scales exserted by 1.3- 1.7 cm, strongly reflexed and pale brown.
