Notes:
Sheets A,B. Tree 8-10m high, very broadly pyramidal. Buds very resinous. Leaves white-banded below, dark green above, not pectinate but curving upwards. Old cones sometimes still present (dark). Bract scales exserted and reflexed by c.1cm. From seed ex Birr Castle, Offaly, Ireland where there is a famous tree. Male strobili resinous. (Possibly Abies fabri (Mast.) Craib which is very close - WRS 5 October 1989)
