Private garden-weed in peaty turf under pines in back of garden. Peat from Paraparaumu-used as mulch.

Notes:
Covered in sticky, glandular hairs. Fronds up to 2m tall. Not fertile. Probably originated from spores trapped in peat taken from roadside bog containing this sp. at Paraparaumu.
