On lava rubble in old settlement site.
Notes:
Plant with stout "trunk" shoot c.35cm high. No rosette leaves present. Bracts flat, green with brownish margins. Inflorescence very large, as wide as high and very broadly pyramidal, narrowed to apex. Flowers almost over. Calyx lobes 2-2.5mm, triangular. Petals greenish-white. Scales wider than long, whitish. Leaves of rosettes stated to be just like the ordinary yellow-flowered. A. undulatum on Rangitoto. Probably a pale flowered form.
