Habitat:
At base of open rocky summit, just beyond line of forest. Rhyolite. Also Gahnia sieberiana (8519) nearby in heathy vegetation. Also growing lower down on rocky slopes in forest (8522).
Notes:
Frequent big, weeping tussocks c. 1.5 m high; culms yellow-green to dark yellow-green ('mid-green').
