Notes:
Deciduous, small (? young) tree c.2.5m high. Bark smooth. Leaves whitish tomentose when very young. Corolla deep pink outside,especially obvious in bud, at anthesis whitish to pale pink excepting petal centre outside. Petals c.2.l-2.4 × l.4-l.8, ± broadly elliptic with abbreviated claw, undulate and somewhat crumpled. Stamens unequal; filaments white. Styles 9-10mm long, green, villous in lower part, usually exceeding longest stamens. An isolated plant, probably arose from a discarded apple core.
