Notes:
Stems thick to c.1cm diam; woody, shrubby to c. 50cm high, suberect and tending to form clump. Lvs in terminal rosettes, green. Upper surface flattish; lower surface slightly keeled 9x3.5cm, 3.5mm thick, obovate or broadly obovate, red-margined towards apex, and slightly mucronulate. Infl. a broad pryamid c. 15 x 20 cm. Bracts ovate-oblong. Sepals 3.5-4 x 1-2 mm, triangular, acute, green. Petals (8)- 9-10 8-9 x 2-3mm, narrow elliptic, or elliptic obovate, pale yellow or cream. Filaments 6-8mm long, widining towards base, white. Styles 3-4mm long, white. Scales c. 1 x 1mm, ssquarish, emarginate or truncate. Fairly common but scattered on top of and down adjacent cliff face.
