Habitat:
West facing slope near base of hill. In open scrub of Argyranthemum Crassulaceae.
Notes:
Arborescent shrub with stems to c.40cm high and c.1cm diam Lvs in terminal rosettes 13-14cm diam. Spathulate, sides not strait except towards base. c. 3mm thick, shining green, slightly tinged red on margins of exposed lvs, lower larger ones 6-6.5x3-3.5cms apex apiculate. Infl. broadly pyramidal, c. 15×11cm, completely glabrous, top rounded. Calyx segments 3-3.5mm long, triangular, acute. Petals 9 in number c.11mm long, linear or linear-lanceolate, greenish-white, with green keel on reverse, apex ± acute. Scales c. 1mm long, retuse. Carpels & filaments light green. A small population scattered amongst or beside the commoner A. aboreum.
