Upper costa weakly ridged (but not toothed) at back; with 3– 4 guide cells with a small adaxial stereid group. Abaxial stereids very poorly developed, with a few large-lumened cells on abaxial surface.
Laminal cells elongate, incrassate, and stronlgy pored throughout
No limbidium.
Leaves erect-appressed, ovate-lanceolate, cocave below, broadly tubulose above, entire, acute or weakly rounded at apex; margins erect or very weakly inrolled Well developed leaves c. 5 × c. 1.3 mm (cover slip)
costa 0.1 to 0.125 the width of the lower leaf.; percurrent
Plants forming dense cushions, yellow-green to golden; Stems erect, densely aggregated, c. 50-70 mm , branching repeatedly by forking
