Habitat:
With Neckera pennata and Lepyrodon australis on trunk of Hoheria glabrata. West facing stream gorge in greywacke bedrock with subalpime forest dominated by Olearia arborescens, Olearia colensoi, Olearia avicenniaefolia, Olearia ilicifolia, Griselinia littoralis, Pseudopanax colensoi, Dracophyllum traversii, Hoheria glabrata and Senecio elaegnifolius; elevation 840-875 m.
Notes:
C.fr.Spores mean diameter 27.1 µ, n=10; range: 22-33 µ.Leaf apices predominately weakly reflexed.
