Gorge in greywacke bedrock of cascading mountain stream and associated montane Nothofagus solandri forest with abundant Dicranolona dicarpum - D. robustum - Ptychomnion aciculare ground cover, elev. 680-770m; rotten bank on lower surface of fallen N. solandri trunk (also abundant locally as an epiphyte).
