Habitat:
Heavy infertile clay, in a seasonally wet seepage channel. Open cutover young teatree scrub with Gahnia very common on slightly higher, drier sites adjacent. Common here with numerous individuals forming patches.

Notes:
Form: Erect herb with spike-like leaves and culms held erect. Leaves: mid-green, dull. Tips browned-off. Some yellowish leaves. Fruit: Shiny yellowish-orange; grey-tipped. Mid brown bracts. Culm same colour as leaves.
