Small tree c. 5m high. Young leaves pink. Mature leaves shining above. Flowers fragrant. Corolla white, ageing to pink; lobes narrow linear 1-1.5 cm long. Fruit c. 7.5 mm diam., ± globose, shining crimson. Mitiaran name "akupa"
