This specimen was determined by Rex Filson , 29.vi, 1979, as the Holotype of Cladia aggregata f. fiordense Martin, but the protologue states that the holotype was deposited in the herbarium of the BotanyDivision of D.S.I.R, Canterbury. The specimen thus lodged was CHR 170221. This specimen, CHR 374339, although clearly identified as "Part of type collection" remained with the Martin Herbarium, and came to CHR later, hence it has been databased as an isotype.
