Habitat:
Damp clefts under overhanging rock outcrops, facing west.
Notes:
Small but robust looking clumps of glossy green, almost glabrous leaves. Flowers yellow. Rhizome about 4-5mm diameter.(Differs from Auckland Island and Campbell Island Ranunculus pinguis in more dissected leaves and in apical tufts of hairs on leaf segments, as in Ranunculus sericophyllus, H.D. Wilson 8 October, 1981).
