Growing on roadside clay bank among sparse Lycopodium volubile andL. cernum, mosses and lichens.
Notes:
See attached note. Only 2 small patches seen in walking whole road from highest point (1200') down to Soda Spring (≈ 300'). This is a great extention of previous range (Allan "Flora of NZ" Vol.1 1961 - Lat 38° south, and Akld Bot. Soc Newsletter [date ?] mentions Karekare near Piha) However, also see speciimen I collected from Brynderwyn Hill, Northland 29/11/79.
