"These have smaller leaves than any specimens we have in the Herbarium and in that respect do not agrre wtih the type of Hebe diosmoefolia (R.Cunn) Ckne. and Allan. They may represent a definite variety." V.S.Summerhayes, Kew.
This variety flowers in Spring (Sept-Oct), whereas the type plants flower in Summer. (Dec-Jan).
