- why ssp. robusta? Presence of multiple, dichotomously branched stem. Large, robust leaf size and shape. Decurrent leaf base forming wing on stem. Numerous accute leaf apices. Substrate in which found growing.

Habitat:
fairly open forest at track terminus. Plants in clumps of organic accumulation, formed by epiphytes (possibly Collospermum sp. or similar epiphyte) in branching gaps of large angiospermous tree.
