Herbarium history:
The Carse Herbarium No.865/4
Supplementary remarks:
Carse 865/4, T Kirk No. 113 [CHR 296782] These differ from P. rugosa in elongated inflorescence, narrow bracts, abscence of simple hairs on calyx tube, calyx lobes persisting in ripe fruit, etc. They match P. racemosa illustrated by J.M. Black Flora S. Australia Part III Ed. 2. p.544. N.A. Wakefield (Victorian Naturalist Vol. 69 Feb. 1953 p. 127) states that this plant is more correctly called P. oraria Mueller (listed as P. oraria Mueller in Index Kewensis). L.B.
