Supplementary remarks:
A. Wall, in "The Botany of Christchurch" 2nd Ed., 1953, pp.28, 29 & 33, mentions that this grass is "...plentiful on the level topped spurs running eastward and northwards from the summit of (Mt Herbert) towards Lyttelton Harbour at an altitude of about 2,000 feet.
