Specimen notes
Herbarium history:
Transferred from Canterbury Museum, Christchurch (CANTY), May 1975.
Herbarium history:
The Carse Herbarium No.85/6
Supplementary remarks:
No. 85/6 does not at all match the specimen (the "type") on which Hook.f. founded his var. tripinnatum. I have a spendid photo, (to be published later) of the type taken for me at Kew. The type of Aspl. laxum is not at Kew but at the British Museum. A photo is being prepared for me. The "types" of N.Z. authors are merely guesses.
