Habitat:
Among grass and low open scrub on gravel terrace.
Notes:
Probably Gnaphalium subsp. ruahinicum, but lacks the brown tips to inner involucral bracts. Scapes are long with leaves bract-like. Apical bud going over to flowering rather than laterals. D.G. Druce, April 1972.
